Spring already?

I know I must be dreaming! Spring isn't here already, is it? I'm from the upper penninsula of michigan, so for it to be in the 40's in the middle of february is quite odd, but a nice change of pace from the subzero temps we had just a few weeks ago! I know it is not going to last and inspite of this warm spell it will get cold again and I'm sure more snow is on the way, like it or not! I hope you all had a wonderful valentines day filled with the things you love the most. We shared a night of steaks on the grill follwed with the movie "21" I fell asleep and missed the middle of the movie, which brad said was the best part, oops:) enjoy your week that lies ahead of you!

Yep, you got it, today is time for me to catch up! I'm making a promise to blog at least once a week! I normally have Sundays off and I think I'll start this Sunday! Anywho, here are my pics from Christmas, just a few shots of the kids and our new puppy, thank you mom and day :) we love her!



Here is the little bundle of energy. She is a pug, her name is cookie, she loves to get into trouble!




Here is Kenadie at her school program. She had a "solo" part this year, but didn't have much time to prepare for it. She did very well speaking infront of a crowd. I thought she was going to be to shy to get up there infront of everyone, but when she marched up to the microphone, she just let the lines flow right out! good job babe!


The kids got a tobogan, (how do you spell that?) for christmas, so inspite of the cold we had to bring them all outside to take it for a test run. The little one on the front of the sled is my neice Jocie, the sweetest baby ever!



Okay, this pic might just be my favorite one from the holidays! We were at my mom's house and my sister brought her dog with because she lives in Chicago, and they couldn't leave her home alone, anyhow, this giant dog thinks she is a tiny poodle or something! Nick was laying on the floor minding his own business and Harley came up to him, gave his face a sniff and sat right on him! We all had the giggles, as Nick was trapped on the floor!

Halloween in February?!?!?!

LOL! Okay, Okay, I know, who posts their Halloweeen pics in the middle of February? You got it! ME! :) Fall is a very busy time for me and little things get neglected, like my poor poor blog, but anywho, as promised here are my little ones from halloween. I made the costumes, and they just had a ball being little mermaids! I am making one vow for 2009, NO WIGS!! This halloween the entire time the girls were running for candy, they had to keep adjusting their wigs, LOL what a sight!



Since I do love halloween so very much, I made a special treat this year for Kenadies class. They are rice crispy treats covered in white chocolate (died green) and then decorated with m&m's and black frosting! they were so much fun to make, but I highly recomend using the premade crispy treats, instead of making your own, just trust me on this one ;)

Time flies!

My oh my where did the summer go? Heck, where did fall go? Halloween is fast approaching, and I can't wait! I have my girls costumes almost finished, they are both going to be mermaids. I got the idea for the costume from Heather Baily's blog. I should be finished with them by the end of tonight, I will post some pics of these adorable costumes, the minute they are done! My halloween costume is coming along quite nicely also. Every year we have an adult costume party, and you MUST dress up to come! It really is so much fun. 2 years ago I was a pirate wench and Brad was Jack sparrow, last year I was a punk rocker/gothic chick. Take a look...

and finally, the punk rocker/goth chick, man, let me tell you, this costume was hard work! I had sores in my nostril from the clip on nose rings, and a stiff neck from the wig!


Can you tell I just love it! It is raining here today, but when it stops, if the sun comes out, I'll take some pics of our overly decorated pumpkin patch of a yard! Happy Haunting!
